COVID Fundraiser Tutoring Initiative for Indian Council for Child Welfare, Tamil Nadu, India (ICCWTN)

UPDATE 10/17/20: Successfully raised $500.00. Thank you all!

The funds will go toward purchasing tablets for the underprivileged children. Once again, thank you for supporting Project: Math++'s fundraising initiative for ICCWTN.

More about the initiative:

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a severe loss of income, which is especially true in developing countries such as India. The Indian Council for Child Welfare, Tamil Nadu, India (ICCWTN; iccwtn.org) is worried that children will be forced to go to work, instead of going on to further their education.

To that end, I have collaborated with the Indian Council for Child Welfare, Tamil Nadu, India (ICCWTN) to donate part of the proceeds of my one-on-one tutoring sessions this summer. The donations will go toward the Sponsorship for Continuing Education which aims to help at least 200 high school students from very low-income backgrounds in Tamil Nadu, India who have passed their Grade 10 final exams continue their education and apply to college.

ICCWTN will help each student and their family with an academic scholarship, and their social workers will ensure that the students stay in school and don't drop out. Please join me in this cause and schedule a tutoring session to help educate underprivileged children for a bright prosperous future. Large or small, every dollar donated is every child empowered!
